Diving Coaches

Fully qualified A.S.A (Amateur Swimming Association) Pool staff members Richard Williams, Jacob Roberts, Kate McCallum, Darren Rowlands & Julie Goldberg teach diving classes at Bangor Pool.



Additional coaching support is provided by Charles Calvert, Swim Wales.



Facilities

Bangor Pool is one of only 3 pools in Wales with diving boards! The pool has 1m & 3m spring boards and a 5m platform. The pool depth is 3.8 meters.


Children’s Diving Lessons

Children wishing to join diving classes at Bangor Pool should speak to Richard Williams or Jacob Roberts from Bangor Pool (01248 370 582).

Diving classes are for suitable for children 6+ yrs. (pending swimming/diving ability) and they need to be confident swimming in the deep end of the pool. Classes are 30-45 min long and prices can be obtained from Bangor Pool.

Bangor Pool runs diving classes at the following times:

  • Thursday: 4.00pm – 5:00pm (2 classes, 30 min each).
  • Friday: 4.00pm – 5:30pm (2 classes, 45 min each).
  • Saturday: 8:45am – 10:45am (1 class, 30 min and 2 classes, 45 min each).
  • Sunday: 4:00pm – 5:00pm (2 classes, 30 min each).

¬£1 Children’s Taster Diving Sessions

During the holidays children have the opportunity to attend taster diving sessions. A great way to come & try diving without having to book a full course.

Training Squad

Experienced divers have the opportunity to train at the following times:

  • Wednesday: 7:30pm – 8:30pm.

Public Diving Sessions
The diving boards are open to the public at the following times:

  • Tuesday & ¬†Thursday: 7:30pm – 8:00pm.
  • Friday: 6:30pm – 7:00pm.
  • Saturday: 11:30am – 12:00pm (only available if there is no pool party) & 3:30pm – 4:00pm.
  • Sunday: 11:30am – 12:00pm & 3:30pm – 4:00pm.
